VIVA NATURALS Organic Shea Butter (4oz)

VIVA NATURALS Organic Shea Butter (4oz)

Reviewed on 07/18/16

So, I ordered a 4 oz container of VIVA NATURALS Organic Shea Butter. I’ve never used real shea butter before, so I really didn’t have any expectations of the application. I received my product on Monday morning (7/18/16) and was so excited to open it up to try it out.

When I unscrewed the jar, honestly, my first thought was disappointment- because I thought it was dried out. It didn’t look appealing to touch, but I knew that I must try it out. I received it at a great discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion of the product, so I must give it a shot. I took off my rings and watch and dipped my finger in and to my pleasant surprise, it was NOT dried out at all. Quite the opposite! It was a creamy and almost a whipped consistency. My hands were so smooth and shiny with absolutely no greasy residue left behind.  The smell wasn’t overpowering either - here was really no scent to it.

The jar has an expiration date on the bottom (10/01/2019) which is pretty great but I don’t think I will have to worry about it going. l. I plan to use this daily if not more! This, to me, is truely a wonderful product and I absolutely would recommend it to friends.

About the Product:
  • Certified Organic Grade A Shea – White shea butters are stripped from their natural color and nutty aroma, destroying nutrients and antioxidants. Our shea butter is raw, unrefined and ivory- the way any high quality shea butter should be.

  • Softer, Creamier Texture – Most shea butters are in block form, making them difficult to spread and apply to skin. Our Ugandan shea has a higher oleic content, lending a silky smooth consistency for everyday hair and skin care.

  • DIY Soaps and Lotions – Shea butter is so versatile it can be used in any homemade beauty recipe. Fill soap moulds with shea butter, Viva essential oils and coconut oil as natural skin food.

  • Nourishing Body Butter – Apply shea butter after showering to keep skin plump, supple and youthful. Nutrients like vitamins A, E and essential fatty acids found in shea soothe dry rough patches. Can be used as an everyday moisturizer too!

  • Stretch Mark Rescue – As a hydrating emollient, shea butter is an inexpensive alternative to lotions and ointments. Apply to affected areas to help fade the look of stretch marks and replace lost fatty acids.

If you try it out too, let me know what you think.
