 My grandson did a great deal of the assembly on this - It was a very quick and easy project. The only tool needed was a phillips head screw driver. Everything else was supplied in the kit. Even the light bulb, which is a 100 watt (1500 lumens). The kit was very well packaged, materials were plainly labeled and all parts were accounted for. Fully assembled, it is a very sleek lamp. Made of dark wood. The shade is a cream colored, heavy canvas material. The top and bottom of the shade is open and is held in shape by wire support around the top and bottom. The cord is a clear rose color and it is plenty long, so an extension cord shouldn't be necessary. Lighting reach is pretty impressive. It is very well diffused if you are looking straight at the lamp, but the light from the top and bottom more than compensates for that. All in all, I have no complaints about the packaging, installation or the finished product.

Overall measurements: 63" H x 10" W x 10" L
Height between shelves: 15.5"

** Do not plug in the lamp until fully assembled. **

Assembly instructions included with the kit:
1) Attach 4 long wood legs (C) into the thick wood base (B) with 4 screws (A).
2) Attach the foot pads (M) underneath the thick wood base.
3) Attach shelf (E) and 4 long wood legs (C) with double-sided bolts (D).
4) Repeat Step 3.
5) Screw 4 double-sided bolts (D) into the 4 long wood legs (C) and tighten each double-sided bolt (D) well
6) Insert the socket (H) into the wood shelf (G) and tighten with the wing nut (F).
7) Connect 4 short wood legs (J) and wood shelf (G) with 4 double sided bolts (D).
8) Attach the wooden frame (K) onto the 4 short wood legs (J) with 4 screws (A).
9) Insert 4 wood dowels (I) into the 4 holes around the wood shelf (G) to fix the lamp shade.
10) Insert lamp shade (L) into the assembled wooden frame.
11) Use the strap (N) to fix the wire to the wooden frame.

**Do not alter the plug in any way. **
**Clean with a soft cloth only**
**Use (1) 150 watt incandescent or 42 watt CFL equivalent (not included)**

Butter Cream Frosting to use with decorator tips

    I will be posting reviews for various cake and cookie decorating tips. I have received several sets of  regular piping tips, Russian piping tips, and Korean piping tips. They all look really great and they produce such beautiful designs. I don't know if anyone has looked them up, if not - you should. Want to see how a certain tip looks?     I wanted to share the Butter Cream Frosting I will be using for the videos. This is one that I like. It has an amazing flavor and holds well when using decorator tips.

• 4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar (approximately 1 lb.)
• 1/2 cup (solid) vegetable shortening
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine (softened)
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract

Use a large bowl to beat the shortening and butter with an electric mixer. Add in vanilla. Gradually add milk.

Add the sugar slowly, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed until light and fluffy

For Pure White Icing (stiff consistency), leave out the butter. Substitute an additional 1/2 cup shortening for butter and add 1/2 teaspoon No-Color Butter Flavor. 

Cover the bowl with a damp cloth until ready to use.

    About a week ago, I  was scrolling through Facebook and came across these sweet little guys. As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to get them for my grandson. He's almost five years old and loves to ride his bike. He is always trying to fix it up and make it go faster. We set it to the solid glow mode and it makes his bike super fast, but I think the flashing mode makes him almost as fast as The Flash (not really, but they make it look like it is going faster).
   I ordered the blue lights and was so happy to see that there were 2 packages of them. The lights are a solid wire string with 20 lights evenly spaced. ! There is a tube attached that houses the 3 AA batteries. Just unscrew the top, pull out the plastic frame and add the batteries. It is easy to attach to the wheels - no tools are needed. I actually asked my son in law get my grandson's wheels ready to roll. They light up pretty bright and I'll post a video later showing them in action so you can see how cool they are. They are absolutely a novelty product. From what I see, they are worth every penny.

My daughter uses the makeup brush cleaning glove for her brushes. It doesn't come with the cleaner but I used hair shampoo to clean them and it worked just fine. I received a silicone glove and it has the cleaning steps directly on it. It also has a cleaning pad with a suction cup on the back to keep it stationary. Very easy to keep makeup brushes sanitized.

What a gorgeous set!
